You will receive 16 hours of lecture and intensive hands-on practice with a focus on terminology building and skills evaluation.
This introduction to healthcare interpreting gives an overview of anatomy and physiology and major diseases, as well as introducing concepts about multicultural awareness, ethics, and interpreting techniques.
Authentic transcripts of interactions between doctors and patients have been used to create the practice materials, preparing students for the real-life situations encountered by professional interpreters on a daily basis.
