ROSEANN DUEÑAS GONZÁLEZ,
AHI Director, is a leading proponent of language rights for limited- and non-English speakers. She holds her Ph.D. in linguistics, is a Professor of English at the University of Arizona, and is Director of the National Center for Interpretation. LINDA E. HAUGHTON,
Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature is a staff interpreter for the United States District Court in El Paso. She has been instrumental in the development FCICE over the past 15 years. JOYCE GARCÍA,
M.A. in Spanish Literature, is a staff interpreter for the United States District Court in Tucson. She has worked extensively in legal and conference interpreting, and is a member of the Federal Advisory Board on Interpreter Services.
SUSANA STETTRI-SAWREY,
Ph.D. in Spanish Literature, is the Staff Coordinator and Interpreter with the King County Superior Court in Seattle, Washington. The founder and leader of WITS, she has also worked extensively with community interpreters.
FRANK GEOFFRION,
is a professor of legal and medical interpretation at Bentley College in Massachusetts. He has worked extensively as both a court and a medical interpreter.
DONNA WHITMAN,
is Director of Interpreter Services for the Superior Court of Pima County, Tucson, Arizona. She has lectured widely on ethics and professional issues in interpretation.
RAMÓN DEL VILLAR,
is a staff interpreter for the United States District Court in Houston. He practiced law in Mexico for thirty years and then earned a J.D. from the University of Houston and became a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is a member of the Federal Advisory Board on Interpreter Services.
YVETTE CITIZEN,
is a staff interpreter for the United States District Court in Tucson. She has worked extensively in legal interpretation and translation.
ALFONSO VILLASEÑOR,
is a Federally Certified Court Interpreter and contract interpreter for the U.S. Dept. of State. Has worked extensively in the legal and conference settings.
JAIME FATAS CABEZA,
is Assistant Professor of the Practice of Translation and Interpretation and Faculty of the National Center for Interpretation-Agnese Haury Institute at the University of Arizona in Tucson.He is a Federal Court Certified Interpreter, an accredited medical and conference interpreter, and an accredited translator by the American Translators Association. |
