FCICE Written Test Prep Seminars
The Federal Court Interpreter Certification Examination (FCICE) Written Exam is intended to measure a potential court interpreter’s specific language proficiencies in English and Spanish.
To better prepare candidates for success on the FCICE Written Examination, the University of Arizona National Center for Interpretation offers the FCICE Written Examination Prep Seminar. Though the seminar does not provide comprehensive training in court interpretation, the seminar is nonetheless intended to improve the abilities of interpreters. The seminar covers topics in both the English and Spanish portions of the exam, including:
- Test taking strategies and techniques
- Vocabulary building as well as legal terminology
- Self-study techniques
- Reading skills improvement
-
The course materials used in this seminar include excerpts from actual past FCICE Written Exams, previously unavailable anywhere, and three sample tests designed specifically for these seminars.
