Dr. Carmen King Ramírez is an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona. She is an expert in teaching Spanish for Specific Purposes (SSP), online curriculum design, and transborder education. Carmen has experience as an academic author and editor. Her publications include a book, multiple articles, and two edited volumes. She holds a national certification in medical interpretation and has worked as an interpreter and translator at two major hospitals as well as community clinics and educational centers. Carmen is the producer and host of WorldLanguages21, a podcast that profiles influential languages professors and new pedagogical trends.
