Itzel Íñiguez is a passionate advocate for marginalized communities in higher education. As a first-generation student, she understands the challenges of navigating the unfamiliar terrain of academia and is committed to helping others overcome these obstacles. Her mission is to support the most vulnerable students by providing resources, motivation, and safe spaces to help them achieve their academic dreams. With a deep belief in the power of bilingualism and intercultural competence, Itzel strives to break down language barriers and foster understanding across cultures. She is dedicated to using her knowledge to support students in a globalized world, ensuring they have the tools to succeed and connect. Itzel holds two degrees from the University of Arizona and recently earned her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. When she's not working to uplift others, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends. Itzel is excited to give back to her community and contribute to the ongoing transformation of higher education in today’s ever-changing society.
