Consecutive Interpreting: Critique and Analysis (Spanish/English)

The National Center for Interpretation is pleased to announce a webinar designed for Spanish/English interpreters!

Effective consecutive interpreting is a vital yet challenging mode. This live, instructor-led webinar is focused on improving your proficiency with this interpreting mode.

After a brief discussion of some of the challenges of consecutive interpreting and how to meet them, the bulk of the webinar will be geared toward improving your skills through language lab-style practice using scripts based on authentic court scenarios. Participants will gain valuable insights into their consecutive interpreting through peer and instructor critique and analysis .

CEUs are pending for CA and the ATA. NCI is a pre-approved provider of CEUs for CO, FL, KY, PA, and TN.

Instructor: Kelly Varguez is a federally certified court interpreter and also holds state court certification in both Nebraska and Iowa. She earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College.
