This live, 3-hour interactive webinar presents an overview of the various areas of family law that interpreters encounter in the course of their work, including:

Interpreters will learn about the types of cases that affect families and domestic relationships; the laws and decisions surrounding these cases; the procedures followed by parties in each type of case; the options for marriage and other legal unions and their dissolution; the rights and duties of parents; the rights of children; the custody of children and their support; the division of property; the protection of injured or at-risk family members; and jurisdictional issues in the area of family law.
