Court Interpreter Ethics (Language Neutral)

The National Center for Interpretation is pleased to announce a webinar designed for court interpreters of all languages!

Interpreters working in court and other legal settings are governed by strong ethical codes. While these codes are are not identical from, for example, state to state, they share commonalities. This webinar examines the ethical standards governing interpreters and illustrates their application in real world scenarios. This 3-hour language neutral webinar is taught entirely in English and is open to interpreters in all languages.

This webinar is live and instructor-led. Participants are required to actively participant in the workshop. This workshop is designed to familiarize you with the Code of Ethics for court interpreters. Through discussions and exercises with the trainer and other participants, you will acquire the tools to successfully navigate situations where ethical considerations are at stake.

CEUs pending for the ATA, CA, and TX.

Instructor: Carlos Radillo is a freelance interpreter based in California with more than 20 years of experience in the courts. He is both state and federally certified as a court interpreter.
