Intro to Weaponry for the Interpreter (Spanish/English)

The National Center for Interpretation is pleased to announce a webinar designed for Spanish/English interpreters!

Basic knowledge of weaponry is essential for today's court interpreter.  This webinar provides a bilingual (Spanish and English) review of firearms, including types of firearms, their basic functions, ballistics, slang, and so on.  Its focus is improving bilingual vocabulary and conceptual scheme, with an emphasis on register maintenance.

This webinar is live and instructor-led. Participants are required to actively participant in the workshop.

Instructor: Jason Knapp is a freelance Spanish/English interpreter and translator based in Louisville, KY. He is both state and federally certified as a court interpreter. He holds a post graduate diploma in specialized interpreting from Universidad del Salvador. Jason is active in several professional associations and currently serves on committees for both NAJIT and the ATA.
